Position: IT Support and Forensics Analyst

General responsibilities for this position include providing level 1 IT help desk support for external clients as well as entry level computer forensics work. Specifically, the successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time providing IT support and the remainder of their time on forensics projects. Forensics training will be provided to the candidate with a qualified technical background. Occasional domestic and possibly international travel may be involved.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a Mid-level IT support engineer who has a broad background in solving IT issues and is eager to expand their career into the field of computer forensics. The candidate must be an experienced self-starter and problem solver that can work well independently as well as within a team. The candidate should possess good knowledge and experience in networking, Windows desktop/server administration, MS Exchange and Active Directory in a multi-server environment. Training will be provided in forensic technology and methodologies. The candidate should be prepared to work in varying environments including incident response, with occasional travel (10%-30%).
Required:
1. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with clients.
2. 2-3 years experience in IT support.
3. Hands-on experience supporting an MS Exchange environment
4. Good problem solving skills and ability to learn quickly
5. Strong writing skills
Desired:
1. Previous consulting experience
2. Bachelor's degree or higher
