Position: IT Support and Forensics Analyst

General responsibilities for this position include providing level 1 IT help desk support for external clients, software testing as well as entry level computer forensics work. Specifically, the successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time providing IT support and the remainder of their time on forensics projects. These forensics projects include conducting testing on various computer forensic tools as well as time working on actual cases. Training will be provided to the candidate with a qualified technical background. Occasional domestic and possibly international travel may be involved.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a Mid-level IT support engineer who has a broad background in solving IT issues and is eager to expand their career into the field of computer forensics. The candidate must be an experienced self-starter and problem solver that can work well independently as well as within a team. The candidate should possess good knowledge and experience in networking, Windows desktop/server administration, MS Exchange and Active Directory in a multi-server environment. Training will be provided in forensic technology and methodologies. The candidate should be prepared to work in varying environments including incident response, with occasional travel (10%-15%).
Required:
1. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with clients.
2. 1-2 years experience in IT support.
3. Hands-on experience supporting an MS Exchange environment
4. Good problem solving skills and ability to learn quickly
5. Strong writing skills
Desired:
1. Previous consulting experience
2. Bachelor's degree or higher
3. Familiarity with Linux
